Terms and Conditions

1. Registration and Fees
1.1 Course Fees
Course fees are payable via PayNow to the Centre and must include the student’s name and level. A payment screenshot should be submitted to the Centre’s administration for verification. Cash and cheque payments are not accepted.
• Small-Group Physical Tuition: Invoices are issued monthly via email. Fees are due by the 15th of each month. A reminder will be sent after this date.
• 1-on-1 Online Tuition: Fees are payable in advance for a term (~10 lessons or ~2.5 months), based on one lesson per week.
Fees are non-transferable and non-creditable to another student. The Centre reserves the right to revise fees periodically.
1.2 Material Fee
An annual, non-refundable fee of $100 per course applies. This fee may be prorated for students joining mid-academic year but is non-refundable upon withdrawal. Materials are provided only for lessons that were paid for.
1.3 Delivery Fee (Online Tuition Only)
Materials will be delivered to the student’s address after full payment or may be collected from Serangoon North Ave 3.
Late or incomplete payments may result in termination of enrolment and recovery of outstanding fees, including administrative and legal costs.

2. Withdrawal and Refund Policy
• Small-Group Physical Tuition: Notice of withdrawal should be given by the end of the current month. Lessons remain payable and must be attended for the remainder of that month.
• 1-on-1 Online Tuition: Withdrawal notice must be given at least 4 weeks before the final lesson of the term. Non-payment will be treated as non-renewal.
Course fees are strictly non-refundable unless otherwise approved by the Centre.

3. Make-Up Lessons
Students may request one make-up class per month, subject to availability and Centre discretion. If a replacement cannot be arranged, no refund will be given. Instead, lesson recordings or lesson materials with answers will be provided.

4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Only one set of materials will be provided per student. Replacements are granted at the Centre’s discretion.
4.2 All curriculum content, worksheets, and lesson materials remain the intellectual property of Hua You Learning Centre Pte. Ltd. and must not be shared or distributed.
4.3 The Centre may display or use students’ work for academic or promotional purposes.
4.4 Legal action may be taken against copyright infringement.

5. General Policies
5.1 The Centre may make changes to class schedules, teachers, class formats, venues, or term breaks as necessary.
5.2 Parents/guardians are responsible for their child’s pickup after class. The Centre shall not be liable for students outside lesson hours.

6. Personal Data Protection
The Centre collects, uses, and discloses personal data to:
• Manage student enrolment, attendance, and performance
• Process payments and issue related communications
• Share data with service providers and authorities (locally or abroad) where required
• Communicate with parents/guardians and respond to inquiries
• Conduct promotional activities (e.g. publishing posters), unless informed otherwise in writing
• Ensure safety, including emergency contact and medical condition disclosures
• Store and back up data as needed
By enrolling, you consent to the above practices. To withdraw consent, email the Data Protection Officer at huayouchinese@gmail.com. Note: withdrawal of consent may affect the Centre’s ability to provide services to you.
Please notify the Centre of any updates to your contact details or “Medical Conditions” relevant to your child.

7. Termination of Enrolment
The Centre reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrolment in cases of:
• Disruptive, disrespectful, abusive, or violent conduct
• Copyright or trademark infringement
• Non-payment of fees

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. The most recent version is available on the Centre’s website. Continued enrolment constitutes acceptance of any updates.
